Hello, my name is Steven Hake. I am a stylized Environment Artist and Concept Artist based in New York, specializing in fantasy worlds and atmospheric storytelling. My work focuses on building immersive environments, from early concept exploration through final implementation in game engines. I also use Blender to develop 3D assets and support my environment design process.
I received my B.F.A. in Illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2014 and have since gained over 9 years of professional experience working with independent clients and video game studios on both PC and console titles.
I draw much of my inspiration from mythology, literature, and historical art. Outside of art, I enjoy reading and training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, both of which help fuel my creativity and perspective when building new worlds.
